Chipotle sour cream is such an easy and delicious way to elevate your next Mexican food night! Chipotle lime cream sauce is a little spicy and so flavorful.
Our favorite Mexican recipes are always on constant rotation in our house. To keep weeknight dinners simple (but still incredibly delicious), I always make sure to meal prep our favorite sauces. This chipotle sour cream is one of my favorite sauces to keep on hand. It’s a little tangy from the lime juice, a little spicy from the chipotle powder, and so full of flavor.
One of my favorite things about this chipotle cream sauce is that no blender is required and it’s ready in about 2 minutes. All you have to do is quickly mix all of the ingredients in a bowl with a spoon. It’s as simple as that!
To store this sauce, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Sometimes I swap the sour cream for Greek yogurt. If you’re going to try it this way, start with 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder and add in 1/4 teaspoon paprika powder. This will still give you tons of flavor, but it will also keep the spice mellow enough.
