The BEST turkey tacos. These creamy cilantro turkey tacos are ready in only 30 minutes! They’re packed with delicious flavor from the turkey and the slaw.
Creamy cilantro turkey tacos make the perfect easy and healthy weeknight dinner! Full of flavor with an awesome crunch from the slaw, they’re sure to please everyone at the table.
Step one is always to heat and toast your tortillas. I’ve you have a grill or a gas stove, that’s the best. Char the tortillas on each side until the edges are just barely black. If you don’t have either (like me), toast the tortillas on each side in a heated dry skillet.
This is an important step both for the flavor and to make the tortillas flexible enough to hold the fillings.

What Toppings go on Cilantro Lime Tacos?
Before you add the cilantro lime slaw, do yourself a favor and go off book a bit. Add some smashed avocado to the tortilla before the slaw. Do it. Trust me. It brings these turkey tacos with creamy cilantro lime sauce to a whole other level.
Other than the addition of avocado, it all comes down to the crunchy foods in the slaw. The crunch offsets the turkey taco meat and brings these tacos from basic to amazing. I like to load my slaw with cabbage, radish, and cucumber. You could keep it super simple and just use cabbage, or you could get creative and add in your favorite crunchy vegetables.

My chicken taco seasoning also works great for ground turkey!
You can omit the Ground Turkey Taco Meat and replace it with chicken tenders - it’s also a phenomenal combination.
